Have a bill to block digital footprinting altogether or do what the EU does and force companies to require people to explicitly opt-into tracking cookies.

I hate when they try to resist footprinting ;P

There has been a couple of manuscripts released regarding transcription factor footprinting - or digital genomic footprinting (DGF) as we call it. I would like to put some of the claims, results and conclusions in context, since I have worked and published on this for ~15 years. 1/n

Happy to share the latest story from @arnaudkr.bsky.social's lab @embl.org! With @guidobarzaghi.bsky.social, we used Single Molecule Footprinting to quantify how often chromatin is accessible at enhancers after TF and chromatin environment changes! Check our preprint bit.ly/3XQMFxN + thread ⬇️ 1/11

Latest from @arnaudkr.bsky.social on TF cooperation at enhancers, liked the combination of single-molecule footprinting at ectopic vs endogenous loci in mESCs. Curious if the cumulative activation frequency model holds for other less proliferative/plastic cell types? www.nature.com/articles/s41...

i really need to get back into writing poetry but a part of me is pissed that i might never write anything that goes as hard as "whalefall" went. like dude, "Footprinting beyond fossil record where blue bleeds abyssal"??? I've been rotation the phrase blue bleeds abyssal for years in my brain now

“Large corporations shape norms to blame the individual. ‘Carbon footprinting’ is a term developed by British Petroleum to try to blame the individual, to say that the problem here isn’t about big fossil fuel companies, but about people, who need to change the way they use their cars and transport.”

Excited to see this out!
Using single-molecule footprinting, we showed that Pol II occupancy is lower at mouse than fly promoters. This low Pol II occupancy is explained by high Pol II turnover and low transcription initiation at mouse promoters.
The importance of moving away from bulk! Occupancy of Pol II at promoters is dramatically different between fly and mouse cells! When looking single molecule! Proud of the team! @kasitc.bsky.social @molinalab.bsky.social doi.org/10.1038/s443...
