Thanks to everyone who joined me this month #ForTheDickie. I'd been meaning to reread The Talented Mr. Ripley again because it had been awhile & I was glad to do with it with a mix of re-readers and new. It seems like people generally found it interesting! Now I feel like rewatching the miniseries.🚣

I wanted the Feed name to be "Did It All For The Dickie" but it was too long. All #ForTheDickie it is.

My copy of The Talented Mr. Ripley got to me yesterday, so I caught up today! Going into it cold, and he is a fascinating character. I was amused when he arrives in Italy and the kid basically pressures him into letting him go along and tipping him. The hustler, hustled! 🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️ #forthedickie

Credit to my #ForTheDickie feed name to a friend I had in high school, who, after I'd dragged her and a couple other friends to see the 1999 film, started singing to the tune of the Limp Bizkit song: "He did it all for the Dickie!"

They weren't fans of the film, but whatever! The line IS funny tho.
