Spring dawn embraces
Oak growing from aging stump
Nature persists, life

The daily cycle of life with golden dawn matched with seasonal cycle resilience of oak from acorn

From the southern edge of Beacon Fell we watched storm squalls, like grey smoke serpents, barrel across Amounderness, Winter Hill and Ribble Valley, bringing to life the Met Office’s measled radar chart 💚 #dailynature #naturewriting #scape #cloudscape #rainscape #ForestOfBowland #watercolour

Last of the day's light in the Forest of Bowland. The sun has dropped below the distant hills lighting up the clouds from below.

Really enjoyed today's visit to the Forest of Bowland's south - went up 3 hills (Parlick, Paddy's Pole, Fair Snape Fell), got 500+ meters of up and spent a lot of time talking about everything with a friend.

Happy that the weather was cooperative, we were a bit lucky!
