I’m saying this bc autism grievance parents and stuff are trying to say that neurodiversity is like the new formergiftedkid or tumblr dx listing thing. It’s not. But what also hurts is that higher supports people don’t see themselves as part of this and thus neurotypical people can slot themselves

I have a lot of #adhd and #formergiftedkid trouble accepting this stuff. Thats my own shit to work on. But to hear my direct report supervisor talk in my quarterly reviews, not a single one of those points above were a thing. Ever.

Like, "I wonder how quickly I can rise to a leadership position ... in this union?"

And, "Surely someone will eventually praise me for knowing that other people's opinions don't matter!"
