Finished Jake’s P&G socks today and then cast on a pair for Carter. He picked these colors out when we visited FourPurls in Florida last Sept. It’s a merino/silk blend so getting decent pics is a bitch. The color is accurate in the pic of the skein, not the sock. #NightlyProgressReport #Knitting 🧶

Which turned out to be an awesome thing because the 2nd skein of Vacay isn’t even remotely close to the first one. Thankfully, it’s the same pink, but the saturation is so off that I’m pissed. Huge sigh that I got the green. #IndieDyers #HandDyed #Yarn #Knitting #FourPurls 2/3
The original skein of Vacay The 2nd skein of vacay. There is zero of this hot pink in the first one, what little green is here is overdyed with the pink, and there’s none of the subtle barely dyed portions the 1st skein has. I guessed correctly though they probably have 3 different greens that would match. All together now… The green will take the place of what’s missing in the second skein and the hot pink will bring a bit of zing to the party. I’m thinking of using the green as the straps and edges. I’ll be alternating the two Vacay skeins and probably throwing in the occasional bit of green as well. Though fair isle in a flower pattern isn’t out of the question. Have to finish the bag of holding before I sit down and hash out this design.
