Alors, avant le réparateur (si pas déjà fait), tu peux tenter de faire une clef USB bootable qui fait tourner foxclone par exemple.
Ça démarre le pc depuis le linux qui embarque foxclone, puis tu ouvre l'explorateur de fichier embarqué et tu accèdes au disque dur et ses fichiers.

Toute façon fait ghosté avec foxclone et j'ai rien d'importanr sur le PC. Il sert principalement pour le test

Ah j'en suis persuadé mais j'ai été très vite paumé haha. J'ai trouvé foxclone qui est plus accessible pour les débutants et à l'avantage de venir avec un OS.

Foxclone, outre la fonction de clonage, bah c'est un iso avec un linux qui me permet d'accéder à mes fichiers (bien pratique si je bute mon linux par ex, je peux récupérer des fichiers par ce biais.

Du coup j'ai trouvé des petits outils sympas:
- ventoy: permet de mettre plusieurs iso sur une clef usb bootable et choisir sur quel iso booter
- foxclone: iso qui me permet de cloner mon système.
Du coup j'aurai une clef usb bootable avec un iso d'OS et de clonage, une bonne boite à outil

Spend half an hour attempting to boot clonezilla, the solution? Use foxclone instead, seems to be a better tool regardless.

Does anyone know of a SDD cloner for #Linux that *doesn't* contain within it the real possibility of accidentally overwriting the wrong drive? 'Cause, I do not trust myself! (I've already looked at #Clonezilla and #Foxclone and the like, and I'm on #LinuxMint, FWIW.)

Great thinking! I got fooled into thinking you can just do a copy of everything live in the OS, and that does not work (files changing as they're being copied / in an 'in use' state). Foxclone will let you boot into a little self contained desktop and make a copy of a drive / restore image.

Ah the fragility of linux. My advice, be prepared to fuck up your OS and corrupt the system at least a few times before settling in. Also definitely install Foxclone on a pen drive, do a monthly backup image on a separate hard drive, and store files you care about remotely / separate from OS.

I would recommend trying kubuntu in a virtual machine first to get a feel for it / what software you can/can't use, then if you like it maybe dual boot. Also learn to use a backup tool like foxclone because you will corrupt your OS a few times learning to use it without the typical guard rails.
