Today I’ve been at Tolworth to observe the departure sequence for freight trains.

Here DB Cargo’s 6Y08, empty sand train, departs back towards Kent with one of their blue Maritime coloured Class 66s!

I was back at Woking Down Yard for another Joint Safety Tour, this time with two of our new grads.

Here they can be seen admiring Freightliner’s bright orange 59206 as it shunted around the yard

The plant where different grades of aggregate are sieved and sorted for loading.

Customers will order different grades of product, even in the same train. Often no two wagons are loaded with identical product.
