I'm thinking that we will complete our harvest by the end of this week. After tomorrow' pick, the only fruit remaining to harvest is Cinsault, Tibouren, Furmint and some small odds and ends that will get chucked in w/ the Cinsault.

The night I was studying Hungarian wine & decided a yummy Tokaji Furmint was apropos. Furmint is the most-planted grape in Tokaj, Hungary & has crispy acidity with flavors & aromas of green apple & Meyer lemon. As it ages, it develops nutty & honey notes #furmint #wine #oremus #wset #tokaj #winesky

Retraining a Furmint vine that had too hastily (read stupidly) been budded over to Petit Manseng. Had it right the first time!
Yesterday I made the decision to graft over the Petit Manseng at #popelouchum back to Furmint, which is where we began. I was certainly far too rash initially to pull the plug on the Furmint. (It had issues with fruit set.) Setting problem appears now to have abated with vine age. #phew
