Asking myself if i have time tomorrow to make rainbow gem cookies. #gbbobakealong

It's #GBBOBAKEALONG time y'all!

Come and see my attempt at Nigella's cake with over 2 pounds of sugar in it!

Just before new GBBO, I finally caught up on last week’s technical. It did not go well (I used royal icing powder & added too much water!) The orange shortbread is a winner, though. Dairy-free for Spouse. 🔥

Well I hate ALL of this week’s challenges and will probably (grudgingly) do something with macarons. But not a 12kg chocolate beehive because I’m not a millionaire!

WE’RE SO BACK, BITCHES 🔥

#GBBO has returned & I’m delighted! Lovely bunch of bakers, especially pleased w/the non-binary rep. Dunno why people are being such knobs about Danni who is clearly super-ND & that’s about it???
Good challenges, LOVING our new Queen Nigella: a strong starting ep.

Can’t wait for #GBBOBakeAlong too

So I baked along to Bread Week even though I’ve been battling a low-grade migraine and going on holiday tomorrow 😅 Couldn’t say no to doughnuts!

Right that's quite enough of all the doomscrolling thanks. It's Biscuit Week so I had a bash at the technical. Did I have a fancy silicon thingie? No. Did I have any caramel chocolate? No. Did I let that stop me? Not a chance!

Sometimes I'm really quite proud of a GBBO bake. This week is one of those. This rose apple tart turned out so lovely, and I'm really happy with it.

Pâte sucrée base, cinnamon & vanilla apple compote, and a million sliced apples on top.

This week's bakes. A "Charles" the caterpillar and two flavours of sausage rolls - Chorizo, paprika and honey without the seeds. Black pudding and pancetta with the seeds.

Right here we go for #gbboBakeAlong week 1! Disaster from the start as I had no fondant icing sugar, & only 450g white icing sugar left 🤦‍♀️ Which is why they aren’t very well coated & it’s too slack - watered it down!
Orange are dairy free, pink are full cow. ❤️

I've been doing a #gbbobakealong this season and my lastest write is about Parkin, the week 6 "autumn" challengs

This dark spicy cake was fun and fairly easy to make.

There's two flavours. Top tier is black tea, bergamot, and orange, with passion fruit curd and vanilla buttercream, the bottom tier is chocolate and Belgian chocolate buttercream. The whole thing is decorated with whipped white chocolate ganache.

For my final #gbbo bake, I made two varieties of scones. The sweet ones are simple raspberry scones, the savoury are sausage and leek. I made them with a small cutter, so they're almost bitesize, which meant we all had room to try both. And that's it! My #gbboBakeAlong comes to an end.

Baking along with Bake Off: pastry week. I made an apple frangipane tart (because I don't have 12 mini tart tins). With a layer of apple butter and a mixture of honeycrisp and lucyglo apples. #gbbo #gbbobakealong #bakeoffbakealong

Why did I decide it was a good idea to try the opera cake midweek. 😭🤦‍♀️ This was the glaze for the top level and now I’m out of both cream AND liquid glucose! #GBBOBakeAlong
