We are a no-contact, bona fide sanctuary (in accordance with GFAS standards) - meaning we only handle the wildcats for veterinary care. But…that doesn’t mean we can’t do virtual boops!

Out of thousands of sanctuaries around the world, only 198 of them have full GFAS accreditation. Out of those only 34 are farm sanctuaries! We are one of only 34 farm sanctuaries in the world who have undergone and passed the rigorous GFAS examination. The rest are for wildlife or only horses.

A representative of GFAS traveled to Merrymac last year to meticulously assess all of the animals and everything on the property for safety. She spent a full day examining every animal for health and every bit of the barns, coops, gates, walkways, feed room, med room, fields, fences, etc.
