BI is supposed to be variable depending on the CoL in each region. The basic income coalition has worked out how a GLBI can be paid. Keep in mind maintaining poverty costs more than giving people enough to live on BASICS above the poverty line. Lower health, policing costs.

Any GLBI at a fiscal cost that governments would even entertain would involve a slashing, not an increasing, of supports for PWDs.

As long as PWD had physical equipment and mental and other social supports, just not the punitive $ amounts they are expected to survive on, then a GLBI would give them dignity and ability to work as much as capable, or not if incapacities prevent paid work.
