a few years back the literal highest paid police officer in Toronto was giving tickets to cyclists _in a park_ and the only reason we know this is because he hit a cyclist with his car after giving them a ticket
The City of Sausalito voted down a funded bike lane project, and now the police are doing targeted ticketing of cyclists to "improve safety."
