For many details, including a purely GPU-based RL loop and data-filtering scheme that increased our sample-efficiency, compute-efficiency, and asymptotic performance, see the paper or codebase linked below.

New GPU-based MMseqs2: 20x faster searches on a single L40S (approx. as fast as a RTX 4090) vs. a 128-core CPU. This work enables to set up a very cost-efficient ColabFold MSA GPU server. 🧵🧵

Inadvisable video game premise #137: JRPG where your character's stats are determined by your computer's performance data. Your available inventory space is based on what percentage of your primary hard drive is free. You get attack buffs and defence debuffs based on your current GPU temperature.

Most games expecting the player to have a several hundred dollar monster graphics card.

My game doing CPU based rendering and not GPU (unless you turn on optional shaders).

My game is made of ancient technologies.

decided not to work this weekend so I'm installing a gaming fedora-based distro on an old computer I had lying around

it has an AMD GPU so things are going actually well so far

The wildest thing is that gpu based data centers are getting loans on collateral of the gpus they’re buying with the loaned money

No I’m not kidding, this is coreweave. We’re fucked.
WSJ: “.. If the AI market blows up, the blast radius would be wide, hitting not only Wall Street firms, but also pensions, mutual and exchange-traded funds and individual investors, because of how debt is often sliced and resold across the financial landscape.”

there's a ~900,000 B200 increase and a 1.3m~ increase in B300s, which would be over $100 billion in sales (based on 8-GPU pods of both) - and if it's gb200s/gb300s even more than that. Epoch started out pretty interesting but has just moved into flagrant boosting

Eu.. as vezes me preocupo com umas bobagens, mas tipo

sabe
o sistema de pincel que a gente usa no Photoshop/CSP são sistemas velhos

eu queria muito ver o que é um next/current gen brush system
será que é node based? Será que é GPU based? O que seria?
Pq eu tenho medo que não vai rolar, sabe
