Just saw a bumper sticker that said "follow me to visit my partner's new girlfriend at May Day Cafe" (which is apparently a worker-owned co-op in Minneapolis) and it made me giggle and think fondly of #garlicsoup

Digital art. Oluwande shirtless at the beach. He is resting his head on his hand and looking up and off to the right. He's sitting at a bar and has a litle blue drink with an umbrella and an orange and a little cherry inside it. He has two bracelets on and a gold earring. there is the ocean and thick clouds in the background.

I love them all so much it's hard to choose!!

Have a little Gutterballs, a little I Got People, and a figure drawing sketch of the whole lot of them 💜
Digital illustration of black and white Jim about to bowl, holding a teal bowling ball with teal and orange reflection of Olu watching them from the alley seats, and an orange partial background offsetting the lane with stacked pins Digital illustration of black and white Zheng and Stede looking at a canvas on an easel the viewer can't see. Zheng is smirking, Stede is shocked. They are offset by a red background. Digital illustration of GarlicSoup waking up under the desert stars. Photo of pencil sketch of a figure drawing session circle in the back of a bookshop, with a tattooed Archie contorting to pose with one leg in the air, the other folded over her shoulder and on the ground. She has a snake tattoo wrapped around her thigh ending at the snake’s head and forked tongue on her hip. Olu and Zheng are sketching / painting at a desk behind Archie and Jim is working from a chair against the right wall of books.

100 words, Zheng/Archie. Used the healing prompt. #garlicsoup
“That’s cool.” Zheng had no idea how much biphobia had fucked her up until Archie says those two words, shrugging her shoulders. “It is?” “Yeah, I mean, I guess I’m bi too, although I don’t think about it that much. Don’t think I’d get with a cis guy any time soon, and my primary partner is nonbinary, but bisexual’s a good umbrella for that shit.” “It is.” Zheng knew she was bisexual from a pretty young age. The first time she’d heard the word a sort of bright light went off in the back of her mind. Still, she’d been through some stuff, so Archie’s casual acceptance meant everything.

The polycule at Pride. Did this one for the prompt: multiple partners.
Oh, and Ricky's a dick in this one. CW: Biphobia
“This is my boyfriend, Oluwande,” Zheng says, gesturing to the man next to her. He wears a rainbow colored beanie specifically for pride, and it’s fucking adorable. She’s also really glad he’s there now that this guy’s talking to her. “Olu, this is Ricky.” Ricky looks them up and down and Zheng and Olu both can tell that he’s judging them. The judgment comes off the prick in waves. “It’s nice to meet you.” She can tell by the tension in Olu’s voice that it’s anything but nice. “So, you’re bisexual huh?” Ricky mutters, looking at the bi pride flag emblazoned across her chest. She knows he’s about to say something shitty before he even says it. “It seems strange to me that every bisexual woman here has a boyfriend.” Zheng looks at Olu hard and then Olu rolls his eyes. He knows her too well, knows that she’s going to say something devastating to the man. “Oh, well, you know, I figured that I’m too good for just one partner,” she says, tilting her head to the side. “Olu’s my boyfriend, but I also have a girlfriend.” Olu sees where she’s going with this and a smile lights up his sunshine face. “That’s not all.” They turn around and spot the pair that they’re looking for. Jim and Archie are near one of the booths, Jim holding onto Archie’s hand almost as if they’re trying not to lose her. Zheng thinks that’s a pretty safe bet, as Archie tends to run off when she’s overly enthusiastic. “Jim, babe, come here.” Jim tugs Archie in their general direction and in a moment, the two are staring at the newcomer. “What is this?” “I’m like the ultimate bisexual,” Zheng says, a cheeky grin crossing her face. “Boyfriend, girlfriend, nonbinary partner. I check all the boxes.”

Everyone tell me to work on this weird thing so I have something for #garlicsoup week! #WIPWednesday #OFMDfic
“Why? Thought you were an expert wrestler?” Jim can’t help but tease a little. “Oh ho ho ho, you questioning my wrestling? These guns don’t lie.” Archie rolls up her sleeve and kisses her impressive bicep. Jim bites their lip, holding back a laugh. “You think you can take me?” “Oh, I know I can take you.” Jim doesn’t normally find overconfidence attractive, but Archie’s brand of swagger is so fucking joyful. “Alright, tough guy,” they say. “Let’s see it.” “Ya sure, mate? You really wanna go hand to hand? Not just about the stabby stabby?” Jim scoffs. “Try me.” Archie seems to think that Jim is all party tricks. She doesn’t know that Jim’s actually a trained killing machine. So. This could be fun. “Clean fight, no hair pulling, whoever gets pinned or taps out loses.” “Yup.” They circle each other. The space is tight. There’s not much room apart from the low bed. And then they come together, gripping each other’s shoulders. Their breaths and the scuffing of their boots on the floor are loud in the room. Jim is forced to take a step back. Then another. If they stay in this position, Archie will be able to overpower them. Jim switches tack and dives towards Archie’s knees. But Archie drops down so they are both on the floor, now properly wrestling.

#wipwednesday #garlicsoup in which jim, olu, and archie roll up to terrible lesbian stede and ed's manse/wedding venue. archie and jim are in a band called throwing knives that was on tour with ed when she had a ~breakdown~ years ago. olu's a songwriter. nice times ahead!
Jim whistled as they stepped out of the car, shaking out their jacket sleeves with a flick of the wrist. “Some Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous shit, eh?” Oluwande chuckled, pulling her sunglasses out of her too-small handbag. It was sunny as fuck, the light reflecting a little too bright against the ostentatious mansion. “Yeah, kinda is though, isn’t it?” “Aw, yeah, looks pretty good, eh?” Archie said, shutting the door behind her. “Just like the Architectural Digest video.” The rideshare zoomed away as another pulled up in its place, ferrying another batch of beautiful people deemed worthy of such glamorous nuptials. “You did not watch an Architectural Digest video about this house,” Jim said. “I did!” Archie insisted, fiddling with her outfit. “I just really enjoy seeing rich people try to pretend their shit is normal, you know what I mean?”
