GEEKOM has launched its first fully qualified Copilot+ Mini PC, and we have taken it for a spin to see how it holds up.

GEEKOM is the latest company to introduce a mini PC powered by an AMD Strix Point processor that combines Zen 5 CPU cores with RDNA 3.5 graphics. The new GEEKOM A9 Max joins a small, but growing crowd of Strix Point mini PCs that also includes the AOOSTAR GEM10 370, Beelink SER9, MINISFORUM EliteMini AI370, and GMK EVO-X1 HX 370…

Last summer GEEKOM released a pair of mini PCs with the latest Intel and AMD processors: the GEEKOM IT15 with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H Arrow Lake processor and the GEEKOM A9 Max with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Strix Point processor. When I reviewed the Intel model, I noted that the mini PC's cooling system wasn't up to the task of allowing the powerful processor to live up to its potential, so potential customers might be better off with the AMD version.

GEEKOM has put the A9 Max up for sale for $999. The AMD Ryzen AI9 HX 370-powered mini PC is shipping from a U.S. warehouse and arriving within 2 to 5 days. The A9 Max was announced back in January at CES. Nothing appears to have changed since then in terms of the system's hardware. It's powered by AMD's popular 12-core / 24-thread processor that features the 50 TOPS XDNA 2 neural engine.
