Had an interesting week discussing the legacy of the 1926 General Strike. My take away is the urgent need to write down the part trades councils played in it. Trades councils are largely ignored by labour historians and so we're going to have to write these histories ourselves. #GeneralStrike100 💪

Excited to be heading to the Archives on Friday to look at a few more peices of 1926 General Strike documentation to enhance the talk I am giving. Haven't been rooting through the archives for a while! My talk is on 27 May at 2.30pm, John Clare Theatre, Peterborough. 💪#GeneralStrike100
