In my #writingstudies on research writing we produce original research within the framework & topic I set. I've become more structured in teaching & reinforcing #genrestudies expectations for each assignment. But also emphasize wide range of choice/possibility. @amylynchbiniek

While I once had more nitty-gritty exercises on in-text citation styles, reference lists, and sentence structure, I now don't have time for that (nor does it seem that necessary) because I'm paying more attention to #genre moves and writing processes supported by #genrestudies.

An unexpected pleasure of my being a theorist of #genrestudies is that #JordanPeterson friends are bad at reading. They repeatedly think my bio says "gender studies." And guys, they're so knowledgeable about what goes on at unis, they can totes predict our careers!
