“Forgive me, father, for I have sinned,” says Stede, kneeling. “Ooooof, not father, please, but maybe—Daddy?” Lucius cocks his head to the side with a sly look. “Hmmm, I’ll think about it.” Stede finishes safety-pinning the hem of Lucius’s rainbow-hued robes and stands to survey his work. “There, no one will be any the wiser, and now you won’t trip on it as you’re walking up the aisle.” “Are you sure it isn’t too much?” Lucius asks. “As much fun as this is to twirl around in, it feels a little weird to be impersonating a priest.” “Now, now, Lucius, your internet ordination is as good as anybody else’s.” There’s a knock on the door. “Thirty minutes ‘til the ceremony. Lucius, make sure you bring the ceremony script and the marriage license.” “Got it,” Lucius calls out, eyeing the folder of documents he has all ready to go. “Oh god,” Stede murmurs. “This is really happening, isn’t it?” “It really is. You’re looking a little pale. Do you feel all right?” “I’m awfully shaky all of a sudden. I’m not sure I’m cut out for this. I’m not a husband, I’m an idiot. What if Ed doesn’t even show up for the—” “He’s literally down the hall getting dressed right this minute. You’ve got to calm down—do you need something from the fanny pack?” Lucius pats his robe. “No, it’s fine, I’m fine, I should just sit down for a minute.” He slumps onto the nearby loveseat and rests his head in his hands. “Yeah, okay. I know what you need.” Lucius pats him on the head. “You just sit tight and I’ll be right back.”

“Lucius,” Stede says. “Let’s make sure Ed is comfortable. Is there a chair, a sofa, anything like that in the bathroom?” “Uh—Nope.” “Al right, then, I’ll need you to take off your jacket. Ed, you too.” Lucius scrambles off Ed’s lap and shrugs out of his tailcoat, placing it on the floor and layering Ed’s on top. Ed’s attention is drawn to Lucius’s waist. “Wait, are you wearing a—” “Now, do you have those supplies I packed for you?” Lucius rolls his eyes. “Yes. In the fanny pack you made me wear under my formal party attire.” “Well, you’ll both be glad I did! Lucius, you can start preparing Ed, and please set the phone down nearby so I can talk to him while you do.” Lucius smirks and unzips the fanny pack while Ed unbuttons his trousers. He pauses, feeling a little awkward. “Ed, darling, take off your clothes and show Lucius your beautiful hole, please.” And then Ed is scrambling to comply, tossing his pants on the floor and arranging himself on his knees (he might regret it later, but he also knows he won’t regret it later) on top of the coats, ass in the air. “Oh, that’s perfect, I'm sure. I can picture it. Lucius, do you have what you need?” “Mm-hmm.” Ed hears another foil packet being ripped open, and then a hand rests on his ass cheek and spreads it to the side. Moments later, something cool drizzles onto his crack. He feels Lucius’s thumb spreading the lube down and rubbing a slow, smooth circle around his hole. “Oh, darling, I can tell by your breathing, he’s touching you, isn’t he?” “Yeah.” “And how does it feel?” “Good, it’s—mmmm—yeah, it’s good.”

Day 6 - Outfits/Dress-up - Ed/Lucius/Stede (voice) - 1300 words for today

Ed's full of adrenaline, heart pounding, so when he pushes open the door of the bathroom, it's too fast and too hard. The door makes a weird cracking sound, right as he realizes he should have considered that there might be someone standing behind it. But there isn't, thank god—he's alone in the bathroom, which is perfect, because he can't stand to be around any of those fuckers for a second longer. He goes to the sink and runs some water to splash his face. Glances at the mirror (he can never resist, even if he knows he won’t like what he sees). He looks haggard, eyes bloodshot, hair starting to escape from its elaborate updo. He’s sweated through his dress shirt, and it’s only a matter of time before it starts to soak through his purple velvet dinner jacket. He jumps when the bathroom door opens, this time with a horrific screech. “There you are,” Lucius says with noticeable irritation. “Stede’s been looking—I’ve been looking—everywh—” Ed turns toward him and Lucius’s face softens. “Jesus,” he whispers. “Was it that bad?” Ed nods, and sways a little on his feet, and Lucius rushes to him, not so much catching him as providing a solid surface for him to slump against. Ed rests his head on the shoulder of Lucius’s red brocade tailcoat and tries to take a slow, calming breath. It comes out a little jagged. “Yeah, that’s—uh, okay.” Lucius brings one hand up, hesitantly, and pats him on the back. “I really don’t think you need to worry about it. These assholes live for drama, but they’ll have a few more drinks and forget about it. I’m sure this isn’t even the first snail fork incident in the history of the company Christmas party.” “Fuck off.” “No, I’m serious. You should hear the stories Stede tells about them. Absolute dystopian shit.” Fuck. Stede. “I didn’t mean to embarrass him,” Ed sniffles into Lucius’s lapel. “Honey, I promise he doesn’t give a shit. He hates them too. But hey—” Lucius gives him another pat on the back, the kind that communicates, good talk, now stop dripping snot on my jacket—and Ed shuffles back a little. “He can tell you himself. Let’s go find him.” Ed shakes his head. “Okayyyyy. Then I’ve got a great idea, I’ll text him our location and he can come to you. And I’ll go back to the open bar.” He sends the message and gives Ed a pitying look. (God, he must look even worse than he thought.) His phone buzzes. “Great, he’s on his way, or will be. ‘As soon as I finish hearing about this pyramid scheme.’ Wonder if he means that literally. Anyway, while we’re waiting—” He reaches his hand into his jacket and fumbles around a bit, eventually producing a single-use foil packet with a label that reads Cooling Facial Wipe. “Can never be too prepared for these things,” he says in response to Ed’s look of surprise. The wipe is actually pretty cooling, and Ed feels nearly human again by the time he hears footsteps approaching the bathroom. Relief floods his body. Stede is here.

Day 5 - HR Nightmare - Stede/Lucius/Ed - 700 words

Stede is sitting at his desk, his actual work desk, in his actual office, and Lucius is standing across from him on the other side of the desk, looking pissed. “I won’t stand for this anymore,” he announces. “I never should have agreed to such a—such a sordid arrangement. It’s beneath my dignity and a gross abuse of power. You can’t stop me this time—I’m going to HR.” “Oh, no, Lucius, please!” Stede leaps to his feet. “You know how much I value my position here at the firm. Please don’t report me.” Lucius shakes his head, stonefaced. “It’s too late, Stede.” Stede rushes around the desk to where Lucius is standing and drops to his knees (regretting it instantly, because the carpet in this place looks fancy, but it is thin and the ground is hard). “Please, I’ll do anything!. Anything.” “Anything?” Lucius says with a devious half-smile. “If only there was something to distract me from walking right out of this office and over to—” Stede shuffles forward on his knees (he’s really going to have to do something about these carpets) and leans in so close to Lucius that he’s sure he can feel his breath through the thin fabric of his trousers. He grabs one of Lucius’s legs and lets his hand travel up the back of his thigh until he reaches the curve of his buttocks, gently urging him forward so his clothed cock presses against Stede’s face. “I’ve got a few ideas,” Stede says into Lucius’s crotch, his voice slightly muffled, though he’s sure his meaning is clear. He’s got Lucius’s belt open, his fly unzipped, and is easing his trousers down, admiring the way his lean thighs seem to go on and on, when the office door flies open and slams against the wall. “Oh shit,” mumbles a voice from the doorway. “Didn’t realize those hinges were so loose. Anyway,” he clears his throat and speaks again in a booming tone, “What’s the meaning of this?” Stede tears himself away from Lucius’s tantalizing thighs to see Ed silhouetted in the doorway. He’s probably supposed to say something, but the sight momentarily robs him of his breath.

Day 4 - "Are you even gonna ask how I am?" - Stede/Ed/Lucius (watching) - 1500 words

“Are you even gonna ask how I am?” Lucius calls from the sofa, loudly enough (he hopes) that Stede and Ed can hear him from across the room, where they’re sloppily making out by the front door. “Yeah,” says Ed. “Just as soon as—oh, yeah, that’s—right after I—fuck, Stede, how are you so—” Lucius sighs. “I’m doing fine, thanks so much for asking. But I could really use another glass of wine, Stede.” Stede drags himself away from Ed and walks to the kitchen, adjusting his trousers as he goes. Ed sits on the couch next to Lucius looking a little dazed. “You’re not mixing painkillers with that wine, are you?” “Finished them two days ago.” “Good. And no recurrence of that pain, hang on, let me check my text from the other day: ‘He’s telling me it’s the worst pain he’s ever felt and he might die. And he says his finger looks like it’s going to fall off.’” Lucius grins. “I already apologized for scaring you, and you know Stede was never gonna call you otherwise. Admit it, you’re grateful.” “Yeah,” Ed says, his eyes going all starry, and when Stede comes back in with Lucius’s wine, he jumps up to kiss him. “Missed you,” he says, groping Stede’s ass. “Maybe we should take this upstairs,” Stede murmurs. “Oh god, no, I’m so bored,” Lucius whines. “Stuck on this couch all day, banned from my favorite hobbies—” he glares at Ed. “Hey, it’s just a couple more days! Trust me, you don’t want to re-fracture those ribs.” “Ugh. Fine. I’m just saying, since you owe me for making this whole thing—” he gestures with his good hand to indicate where Ed and Stede are still draped around each other— “happen, maybe you could provide a little…entertainment?” “Oh.” Stede’s eyes go wide. “Ed, do you think—?” “I’m game if you are. I mean, if the patient requests it. After all, I’m here in a professional capacity.” Lucius rolls his eyes. “Yeah, okay, I’m requesting it. In fact, I think Stede’s been taking such good care of me, he’s been neglecting his own health. Could probably do with a pretty thorough examination.” “I should say so.” Ed turns to Stede. “Get undressed and lie on that loveseat for me.”

Ed can hear them bickering before he opens the door, but they stop as he enters the room. He surveys the scene—dark-haired young guy with a bandaged-up arm sitting on the exam table, an older blond guy hovering nervously nearby. “Hi there, Mr.—” he glances down at his clipboard— “Spriggs. Lucius Spriggs. I see they got you triaged, but if you don’t mind, I’m going to take a closer look.” He sits on the stool and gives himself a little kick start so he can roll across the room, stopping just short of the exam table as the patient’s face flashes from fear to relief (so sue him, it’s one of the few things he still really enjoys about the job these days). “Tell me what happened exactly,” Ed says, hoping to distract him while he starts to unroll the gauze and undo the temporary sling. “Welllllllll,” Lucius says, directing an intense side-eye toward the guy he came with. “We had a little bit of an incident. With a rolling chair. And someone’s total disregard of the laws of physics.” “Okay, that’s really unfortunate. What exactly were you doing with the chair?” The other guy—the blond guy—the really cute blond guy, actually—pipes up. “We were sitting on it. Which is exactly what chairs are made for.” “Oh, is that what we’re calling it? Sitting? Ouch, that really—” “Sorry,” Ed says.”I’ll try to be gentle. I saw they gave you some painkillers. Not kicking in yet?” “No. And let me just ask you, Doctor—?” “Teach. Ed Teach, got my M.D. on a beach.” He turns toward the blond guy, who looks mildly concerned. “That’s a little joke about Caribbean medical schools. Fully accredited, of course.” Ed winks and the guy blushes. The pink looks really nice on him. “Right, Dr. Teach,” says the patient—oh yeah, the patient, who is actually pretty cute too—god, Ed needs a vacation. “Let’s just say you were sitting on someone’s lap in a typical rolling office chair—hypothetically of course—do you think it would be a good idea to arch your back in a frankly very slutty way, and then reach your arm back over your head and—” “Lucius!” the blond guy exclaims, and Ed fights to keep a straight face.

And the I's, well, there shouldn't be too many—” “What even—” Lucius chokes back a laugh and reverts to his previous stern expression. “Stede, you've worked here how long and you clearly still don’t even know what a KPI report is. Frankly, I’m disappointed in you.” “Well, actually, Sir, you only hired me last week and I'll still getting the hang of all this—” Stede twirls one of his golden curls around his finger— “business jargon. But I’m trying my best.” “I seriously doubt that, given that I've been watching you sit here and file your nails for the last three hours.” “You've been watching me?” Stede's coquettish little smile is ridiculous but fuck if it isn't also pretty cute. He's really selling it, Lucius will give him that. “How could I not?” Lucius steps closer and caresses the side of Stede’s face, then traces a finger across his lips, down his chin, over his Adam’s apple and straight down the middle of his exposed chest (how many buttons did he undo, exactly? Jesus.) “When I've got this sitting right outside my office every day.” “Oh, Sir!” Stede blushes—a real blush!—and lick his lips. “I know I can finish this report if you’ll just help me a little. Why don’t you sit here—” he jumps up and motions for Lucius to sit in his chair— “and we can go over the data together?” Lucius gives a little hmmph and settles into the chair, still warm from Stede’s body heat. “I suppose so. But this had better be good.” Stede bends over the desk and starts clicking the mouse, arching his back so Lucius gets a good look at his ass and thighs in his absurdly tight pants. “And if you’ll look here, I think if we just prioritize the work streams—oh, but I’m blocking your view. Perhaps we could—share?” Lucius lets out a rather un-boss-like squeak as Stede plops down on his lap and shifts his weight from side to side, ostensibly getting settled but really taking advantage of the opportunity to grind against Lucius’s hardening cock. Lucius wraps one arm around his chest, slips a hand into the deep v of his shirt and drags his nails through the wiry curls of Stede’s chest hair. “I suppose I underestimated you. With a little more coaching, I think you’ll make a fine secretary.” Stede giggles, a breathy little sound. “I only want to please you, Sir.” He leans his weight back against Lucius’s chest, tips his head back to bare his neck, reaches up to run his hands through Lucius’s hair, and— “Oh shit oh fuck—” As the chair tips backward, they’re suspended for a moment in perfect balance, and Lucius thinks that maybe, just maybe— Crash.

Lucius emerges from the bathroom with Stede’s towel around his waist, his dark hair dripping rivulets of water down his neck and chest. “Can I use your blowdryer?”
