Year 3 became weather reporters in geography today! We learned about tropical climates and applied this knowledge to plan and present rainforest weather forecasts for different countries in groups.🌡⛈

In geography, Year 6/5 analysed different maps looking at human and physical features.
Then they found human features on a map using 4 and 6-figure grid references. 🗺️

Year 4/3 used atlases to find towns and cities that were located along The Fosse Way which was a main road that was built in Britain by the Romans. The children learnt how roads were built, the reasons why and the impact that they have had. #GeographyatWelbeck #HistoryatWelbeck

Year 3 enjoyed a lovely trip to the River Trent this afternoon! We followed a route we planned last week using our mapping skills. When we got there, we did a scavenger hunt for the features of a river we’ve learned about. We were lucky enough to see boats of all sizes pass by! 🛶

Year 3 have been learning how to be 'Climate Champions' by finding out about the effects of all kinds of pollution on wildlife. They then worked together to clean up some polluted habitats. Thanks again to Hannah from Green Meadows for another exciting session!
