Petite Belge 🇧🇪, Zagreb 🇭🇷 2nd ever visit. Top notch Belgian café with guest beers. German, Czech and Croatian names involved too, and a sideline in cigars. Cosy interior that has more of an impact this time of year. €3.70 for my beer and complimentary peanuts. 👍🍻

I know a German guy who's a sound engineer. And a Czech one and a Czech one, too.

Fun fact: In Czech railway slang, these signals are referred to as "ranžírka". This is because the name comes from the German word for shunting: rangieren. 🇩🇪

Do you know what's your country's shunting signals aspect colors? 👀

Some place names are just very bland/descriptive. I'm from close to Neustadt am Rübenberge, which means "new town close to the turnip mountain".

Filmed in the Czech Republic and Germany. Schleissheim Castle, a rather unfortunate name when you're a native German speaker and delete the letter L there. 🤭🤣

🍻 MEET THE PACK: GERMAN PILSNER 🍻

Our German Pilsner brings herbal, grassy, & earthy hop notes together with a modern, fruity hop aroma and a clean, crisp finish. A worthy alternative to our Czech Pils. What's your fav?

The days are getting colder, but cozy beer season is just getting started. 🧣❄️

Early Czechoslovakia had a German social democratic workers party whose leader was Ludwig Czech and then it had a Czechoslovak one whose leader was Antonín Němec ("German" in Czech). It writes itself.

This inspired me to take a quick census of my lager shelves. It turns out I have 37(!) varieties, of which ~14 are "dark" — depending on how you feel about deeper shades of amber, etc.. Just 2 are branded as "Dunkel" (1 actually German, 1 from Maryland), while 5 say "Czech Dark" (all American).
For anyone keeping track on what dark lager year it is in the cycle, it appears this season's for Dunkel. Next year will be Czech Dark Lager. That's the cycle.

Sincerely,
Dunkel Squad.

Did you know? Charles Bridge (Czech: Karlův most [ˈkarluːf ˈmost] , German: Karlsbrücke [kaʁlsˌbʁʏkə] ) is a medieval stone arch bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic.

It's true. A lot of them were fancy weird to this central Texas boy. We had a funky mix of Czech, German, Anglo and Mexican settlers that made for some incredible sausage.

I just learned that THE INVITE is merely the English language version of a 2020 Spanish film that has been remade in French, Russian, Czech, Italian, German, and is forthcoming in Dutch and Estonian.
