It's funny the things you hold on to. I read this article, years ago, from Giles Coren about sub-editors from The Times changing words in his pieces. I distinctly remember his remarks on the need to finish on a stressed syllable; giving the piece impact.

It's funny the things you hold on to. I read this article, years ago, from Giles Coren about sub-editors from The Times changing words in his pieces. I distinctly remember his remarks on the need to finish on a stressed syllable; giving the piece impact.

Giles says he went to the gig and the protest before, notes what race everyone attending was, and then says it was just a concert and nothing especially remarkable happened. Also correctly notes the counter protest was full of committed partisans, and not regular punters just going about their day.
