Mahmoud Khalil ordered to be deported for criticizing Trump's ally, Israel and participating in anti-genocide protests, no crime committed and he is being separated from his pregnant US wife, thousands gathered to protest in solidarity throughout the last week. #3E #EndImpunity #FreeKhalil

Several friends from several walks of life are friends with Mohsen. Here's some thoughts from my Israeli friend, Gili Getz:

5 years ago today, #GeorgeFloyd z”l was murdered by Minneapolis police, sparking an uprising for Black lives & national movement to defund the police. Across the country & the world, and in NYC, we marched to decry white supremacy, to say #BlackLivesMatter, and to demand abolition.

#TruahVirtualGala @mayor.nyc.gov is outlining the work that #Truah has done. He is also addressing the hatred that has been seen in #NYC and the #fear he has heard from #Jewish NYers.

Naming the honorees. #GiliGetz won't be taking the photos tonight!!

#TruahVirtualGala Now a question about #CollectiveResponsibility in the #PublicSquare. #GiliGetz underscoring the need to stay in the #socialjustice space. "There are no shortcuts 2 collective liberation." "We must stop the decoupling of #Jewish and #Palestinian safety."

#TruahVirtualGala Each honoree is answering questions. #GiliGetz talking about his upbringing in Israel where #Judaism wasn't exactly liberating. But he has come to a deep Judaism and sense of purpose.

#TruahVirtualGala Tonight's event is at #BnaiJeshurun. The #RaphaelLemkin #HumanRightsAward is going to #GiliGetz! And yes, he is a crowd favorite. #Photographer and #PeaceActivist. He is now coming to the stage to very loud applause! Strange to see him without a camera in his hand!!
