One very oddly specific voice acting goal of mine is to voice in a claymation production.
I loved The Trap Door growing up and it's one of the things that got me practicing creature voices from a young age, well before even considering acting.
Yeah. Claymation. I just think it's neat

Oh globbits.
Pictures from a friend of mine who works on a crab-fishing boat off the coast of Newfoundland. I love the nightmare crab door.

What scared me as a kid?
Trap Door.
Nightmare fuel dressed as kids telly and every bit as traumatising as the escalator PSA.

Apparently subjecting my Son to TRAPDOOR has resulted in him saying "Oh Globbits!" when he makes a mistake at little school

Seconded. That "Globbits" (EXCLAMATION: an expression of surprise, and -- usually -- dismay) isn't in the OED is a sad indictment of the English language.
I think we all just need to accept that this is where TV reached its pinnacle.

By turns hilarious, poignant, inspring and staggeringly informative, the @alexpodyssey.bsky.social is a crowning podcast, and this episode is the jewel. I could literally feel myself getting cleverer as I listened. It is also the only podcast to reference the great Trap Door cartoon. Oh Globbits!
