A small assortment of doodles I've drawn over the past couple of months.
Ataru Hori (alongside his alien rabbit pal, Usagi) from Mr. Driller. He's briefly thinking about his "idiot dad", Taizo Hori (aka the original Dig Dug protagonist). Kirby riding on a Warp Star; drawn around the time when Kirby Air Riders was coming out. Yoshi, alongside a Glubbit and a currently unnamed (for now) snail-like creature, as seen in the upcoming Yoshi and the Mysterious Book game.

I was looking forward to adding a bunch of Mysterious Book enemies specifically because the game puts a focus on their abilities and their interactions with the environment. I could have taken Glubbit in like, six different directions alone lol

Glubbits are defensive specialists who can use their long, strong legs to make great passes and land great spikes. Their low power and speed may make them look like easy targets, but get too close and you may get trapped in a bubble!

Glubbit Debut: Yoshi and the Mysterious Book Attack: Bubble Trap Type: Defensive Speed: 2/10 Power: 3/10 Pass: 10/10 Spike: 7/10 Like all amphibians, the Glubbits live in damp, swampy areas with a lot of water and a lot of greenery. They don't have a long tongue to eat anything that flies around it, but they have something that works just as well - the ability to blow bubbles! They can trap prey in the large bubbles they blow out of their mouths. This ability can be augmented with different kinds of fruit to produce different kinds of bubbles! Glubbits are defensive players who can make expert passes on the ball, and leap up high for powerful spikes. And if an opponent gets too close, they'll get a taste of the Glubbit's Bubble Trap ability: it blows a huge bubble that traps opponents inside, making them immobile and forcing them to mash to pop out.

like, Glubbit being a frog that spits bubbles would be one thing, but you can make it spit different kinds of bubbles depending on the situation, and who knows what else. I ultimately went with a more "vanilla" idea for Glubbit, but I feel like the sky's the limit for this particular set of enemies

This game looks like it could easily have been made for the Switch 1. I'm really mad at this.
