Courier 6 #8 didn't make it out of goodsprings, tried clearing the geckos with dynamite and killed the settler by the well. Mauled to death by cheyenne. Will save courier 69 for later

I know of Hoover Dam only because of Fallout (and Fallout: New Vegas is how I know some *really* small towns in Nevada, like Goodsprings, population 162)

These include Jack Hoff and Bill Ronte dying on the way to the Old Mormon Fort, the female prospector dying near the Goodsprings well, retaking the NCR prison from the Powder Gangers, and meeting sane ghoul NCR trooper Private Edwards in Camp Searchlight (among other characters I never met before).

It’s so stupid that the game’s tutorial quest, which strongly encourages you to fight and kill Powder Gangers to protect Goodsprings, locks you out of I Fought The Law.

I dunno, I think that once you put on that suit, you could probably just ambush a postal courier just outside of Goodsprings, steal the Platinum Chip, and begin your rise as a Vegas powerbroker, and that would cover its cost

in most previous playthroughs I've sided with Goodsprings which locked me out of the Powderganger questline but I've put the former on hold after killing Cobb, then wore his clothes to the prison and they let me in (after bribing them)
