I was in Springville for an event and made the drive to Gowanda to check on yesterday's storm damage.
Golf ball sized hail dented cars and broke the windows at the Town Hall in Persia on the Cattaraugus portion of Gowanda, as well as caused other property damage. Thankfully the flooding was minor.

Last night's class accidentally became sparring. It wasn't the initial lesson plan; our evening went over by an hour and everyone left a little sweaty and a lot richer for having some individualized coached assessment of sparring. Overall, proud of everyone's progress ⚔️

"I watched my grandmothers do a lot of beadwork on the reservation. Whenever we went to visit them, they were always beading. My grandmothers didn't have very big places to sit and bead; they would just bead on their beds, having everything spread out. They didn't have designs to follow or anything.
