The FIRST time we experienced this phenomenon was when two little grandmotherly librarians asked if we were going on the pub crawl with them in Ardmore OK.

My grandmother passed her mucus fighter to me. 1 medium white onion, diced put in a bowl or large cup. Add an equal amount of brown sugar. Mix till the sugar is wet from the onion. Place on the counter over night with wax paper or Saran Wrap over it.
Stir in the morning, take 1 or 2 tbs. 2-3 a day.
