Valiant
A fusion of ideals and oaths. A bringer of justice true. Light and dark made one. A bright flame in the abyss.

At the conclusion of her version of "Our Closure" (80 DRK), Peridot Grayflame found her own fusion of PLD and DRK together as one: The Valiant. 🧵

Peridot Grayflame leaping in the air, her left arm outstretched, shielded, and with darkness forming in front of her hand. Her right hand holds a paladin's sword pointed away from the camera. She has fair complexion and long brown-black hair. She is wearing a black leather outfit with silver accents and white furred shoulders. The background is the Chrysalis, with deep purple clouds in a black sky, purple stone flooring, and gray and white structures in the distance. The job icon for Valiant. It is the base shield of the paladin icon, with the middle line of the shield replaced with the sword of the dark knight icon, and both crowned with the magic star from the dark knight icon. The icons overlay in a method rendering neither one fully in front of the other. Blending the two as one whole. It is colored in gray, both for the interplay of light and dark, and for the woman it represents.

Alphinaud in post-HW learned about some events of 30-50 DRK, and in confronting her about it got berated, hard.
It was a reckoning for how he treated her in the past, particularly ARR. But their recent time together shaped how they both handled it, and they came out closer for it.

As of today (pre-EC) Peridot has overcome much of the worst in life.

With the end of one arc of her life and the start of the next, she's accepting change within herself, and that she's getting older. And as part of that she has started growing her hair out and wearing glasses. 🧵

A Tale of Grayflame (Pre-ARR)

Peridot took the title Grayflame for similar reasons to Estinien Wyrmblood (who she would one day befriend).
She would become a Dark Knight in all but name and soul crystal, driven by that creed of justice and vengeance.

As for how that came to be... 🧵 #GrayflameLore
Peridot Grayflame, a Miqo'te archer, is bracing forward on her right hand, bow drawn in her left hand and held beside her, knees bent. She has light complexion and dark brown-black hair, she wears a black top with white undershirt, brown leather gloves and boots, and has smaller brown leather coverings on her top. She has a slightly crazed look of battle on her face and behind her a forest burns.

Raised as a hunter, Peridot arrived in Eorzea as an archer. After the battle with Titan however it became clear she needed something greater, but would not become a Bard seeing no use in it then. She instead found the Marauders for their strength, and eventually became a Warrior.

Peridot Grayflame

Cast out of her tribe for being trans, she no longer wanted a Seeker name.

Peridot, from a friend.
Grayflame, nominative-self-determinism taken almost as a title. Both halves multitudes. To list only some: Gray: Judgement and Loss. Flame: Destruction and Renewal.

Alright, with some encouragement, I am going to start posting a bit about my WoL lore/answering qotds in the future here on bsky. In interest of it being findable I will be using the tag #GrayflameLore for it. I hope people can find some enjoyment in my ramblings about her

Backstory basics pitch:
Peridot Grayflame, a transfem Seeker that took a non-traditional name to separate from that society. Through her I often explore the line between DRK and PLD. By present day she is both in harmony, with a (working) class title of Valiant.
DT-era look pictured #GrayflameLore
