Did Heinz Guderian write this?

Historians of Bluesky! Can you name a famous general or leader who was actually a huge loser?

There are no statues of Rommel or Manstein or Guderian in Germany. We don't need ststues of Lee or Jackson or even Albert Pike. They fought for a dreadful cause. They lost bigly. To hell with 'em.

Heinz Guderian: *chuckles* I'm in danger.

"I saw for the first time a spectacle which became very familiar. All those present nodded in agreement with every sentence Hitler uttered." -Nazi general Heinz Guderian

Why stop at Confederate generals? How about Fort Rommel? Or Camp Guderian?
I mean, those guys killed fewer US soldiers than some Confederate generals.

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again.

"Nein, Guderian hat die Führungs- und Organisationsgrundsätze der Panzertruppe nicht erfunden."
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again.

„Das ist Führungsaufgabe!“
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again.

He wasn’t the only one. Guderian, Von Bock, Von Kleist, and a bunch more all thought the same.

The Jagdpanzer 38 is best known today under the name Hetzer. This was never the official name of this vehicle, but #OTD in 1944 Guderian reported that this nickname popular among German troops. #tanks #history #WW2 #WWII

Idk if I’d call Guderian incompetent exactly. He was fairly effective at the reorganization of the German armored forces. They just happened to proceed to suicide their tanks into minefields

hey how much of that historical evidence you're leaning on was written by Heinz Guderian

Téma la tronche de la résistance soviet de 39 à 41, au passage...

On rappelle à toutes fins utiles que Guderian faisait le plein chez tonton Joseph quand il s'est promené en France en 40.

Blitzkrieg was simultaneously real (to Guderian) & not real (to OKW)

You know that story about the hunting trophy that almost killed Guderian by falling on his head during Blitzkrieg… Say hi…

And the French might not have lost if Guderian had followed orders, or had a few French infantry companies held out for 48 hours longer, or ...

Well, I think Rommel was vastly overrated and Guderian is the man to…oh, GenITals; don’t mind me.
Just went on Radio 4 to talk about Hitler’s genitals. So glad I trained as a historian for this

The Wehrmacht is often depicted as fully mechanized, but that was far from the case. #OTD in 1944 Guderian reported a critical shortage of halftracks. For instance, only half of the requirement number of halftracks used to tow heavy guns were available. #history #WW2 #WWII
