Charged with breach of the HDCA order and Causing harm by posting digital communications.
Appeared in court on Monday, no plea entered, next appearance at the end of Jan.

However one thing is not in dispute:
My harasser never *once* challenged the HDCA order, and she had multiple opportunities to do so.
The judge felt that almost ALL of the HDCA principles had been breached by my harasser, which shows how extreme the harassment was.
I look forward to the trial.

We also lack standards for political amplification. When senior figures (like a DPM) repeat “swirling allegations” they launder unverified claims (based on homophobic tropes) into mainstream discourse. That institutional act has consequences the HDCA was never drafted to address.

So yes, the worst people you know are fighting. But all of them dislike the thing they're arguing about for almost exactly the same reason, which is why I am pro-HDCA and why you can't support any party here, except in demonstrating the HDCA works and is valuable free speech legislation.

And I just want to say that this bodes very well for my own case against a transphobic harasser whose actions against me are MUCH worse than the Kirralie Smith case.

Update: Two trials in fact.
The first trial is on the 3rd Dec, for the digital harm charge.
Second trial is on the 17th Dec, for the two charges related to breaching the HDCA order.
Pencil in those dates, would love to have a ton of support at the court room, should I have to appear as a witness!

On Friday I'll likely find out when the trial date is for my harasser's latest charges, and the charges that returned after she failed her diversion.
It would be really great to have BIG support in and around the court room for the day of the trial.

Would you believe it's actually a more principled free speech position to support the HDCA as a recourse for harmful speech than is held by the FSU and Bomber, and even by AOB.
Their attempts to get rid of the HDCA would not free speech, it would encourage further hate speech without recourse.

Taking a HDCA complaint all the way to court means the person responsible for the digital communications has turned down Netsafe and NZ Police as a potential resolution. It is extremely ironic that Bomber trying to martyr himself about the HDCA places him alongside the FSU view of that legislation.
