It sucks, I've seen so many movies on dvd, bluray and hddvd that you can't even get on streaming, or with a mooshed bitrate or weird edits. Physical media forever

Back when HDDVD died, WB had a program where if you sent the slipcover and $5 they'd send you the bluray. It even worked on premium items like seasons of TV and the 5-disc Blade Runner set. Warner Home Video is weirdly good about this kind of stuff.

Hundreds of your Warner Bros DVDs probably don't work anymore; UPDATED with response from WB
Due to the way WB manufactured their DVDs, virtually all discs pressed between 2006-8 are unplayable now.
