I’ve used this the past several years and I love it! But also mad I didn’t know about it earlier because I spent unnecessary money filing thru HRBlock.

Yeah if I have to pay in order to do my taxes I'll just not do them lol the only way I'll do my taxes is if it's for free I'm not going to pay turbotax to do something for me that the government requires of me.
The Trump administration has killed IRS Direct File, the program that let you file your taxes for free. Direct File will not be operational this coming tax season.

Apparently they made the same fuck up the year after, too. It is because they applied the KY taxes to MA taxes wrong.

The good news is that *some* money is in my account. The bad news is HRBlock deposited almost *2k less* than the IRS confirmed they were depositing. It’s going to be fun tracking down whose bad this is, although I am 99% sure it’s HRBlock.

Now, MA claims we owe money from 2021 taxes (a year they sent us a refund) after an audit.
Guess I get to add calling the state to my never ending to do list, right next to calling HRBlock and asking them what the fuck.

My programming skills were tested as I had the least experience…but it worked. Big name politicians tried it out.
And HRBlock paid them all off to kill it.

I have had better luck filing with HR Block online than turbo tax. HRBlock has actually let me file for free without suddenly saying I have to pay at the end.
