HRMs Worst Councilor.
Before the vote, Coun. Trish Purdy asked to vote on each piece in the report as she wanted to vote against parts that dealt with bike lanes, transit, sidewalks. But in the end, council voted yes on the whole report. Purdy was a yes vote. Councillors Hinch and White voted against the report.

5/ My personal caveat: comparing this method (or HRMs) to LLMs feels a bit unfair since HRMs/TRM are specialized models trained for specific tasks (here: ARC, Sudoku, and Maze pathfinding) while LLMs are generalists. It’s like comparing a pocket calculator to a computer.

For my Halisky pocket friends who are following HRMs budget discussions.
Bike count for January. Despite the cold and snow, HRMs 11 counters still recorded 15,400 bikes over the month (Dartmouth Cove counter only gave partial results due to maintenance). Down slightly from last January, but still ahead of January 2024 @stats.hfx.bike

Is listing a lot of the services they’re considering cutting. Says there’s a reason we have those services. They are part of HRMs strategic plans - to make HRM a better place to live. Says they want to cut them for less than a dollar a day in tax savings.
