Upgraded to Magura HS33 rim brakes. They were amazing! And I got to keep riding my old bike

I have a bulk supply of the pads I use on my e-bike (Koolstop Dual Compound pads for Magura HS33 rim brakes). On average they need changing every 4-5 months, because they get heavy use on the hills round here.

Ich fahre noch uralte HS33 Felgenbremsen und ich würde mittlerweile überlegen wieder Bowdenzug Cantilever zu fahren. Zur not Knotet man da einen Schnürsenkel dran.

Nový projekt? Ale jistě! KTM Formula TS. Tahle potvora je samej problém. Oživit řazení Shimano Positron jsem vzdal, bude to na 8 rychlostním Nexusu. A originální Magura Hyodo Stop napadl kutil brzdovkou, takže jsem je musel nahradit HS33. Ty napadl jiný kutil bendžem, to muselo pryč…Chybí jen kousek

Ist nicht so ideal, wenn die kleine Rändelschraube zur Feineinstellung der Hydraulikbremse etwas ölig ist, oder? 😬

I'm taking my SST to have an HS33 hydro rim fitted in place of the front V tomorrow.

Hydraulics are about control of power, not just raw power. I didn't see the point either... until I tried them.

They're typically just better in use and IME need less maintenance, not more.

pretty sure that housing stop woulda been for mechanical disc brakes. I think I see 51mm IS adapter mounts on the end of the swingarm, and the Avid BB7 woulda been invented by then.

But yeah it's weird, and hs33's would be hella sick, but also-
