A typical HSLC (High Shear Low Cape) leads to a #tornado near Glewitz, NE-#Germany. We can already say that spring/early summer are relatively active in terms of severe weather and tornadoes in Germany.

SInce yesterday, we have seen a trend of the still strong mid to upper-level jet to the south. Not all models are as consistent with this trend but ECMWF and GFS are. Still could get a decent autumn storm for NW Europe and a HSLC severe setup out of this either way (1/3)

I felt this was a rather conditional scenario. Rich dews were confined to near Gulf coast and probably some phase displacements w.r.t. large-scale dynamics played some role. Closer to a typical HSLC environment, though shear was more than ample for quick TORs. Very much damned if you do/don't.
