One lesson I would take here is: don't use biometrics for your computer security. Biometrics are not hackproof any longer. Whereas old-fashioned long-password technology is now and always will be secure.

This is the reason Congress passed the Privacy Act of 1974. To prevent the federal govt from collecting vast amounts of Americans' private data to weaponize against them, in this case against their voting rights. Kudos to this brave whistleblower for coming forward.

I've long thought the only assets that blockchain could theoretically protect were digital assets, not physical ones. But even the cold wallet storage isn't hackproof, evidently.

I just don't understand the obsession with random services of spamming your phone with unwanted messages all the time. I HATE being contacted by phone except in dire emergencies, it's not like phones are 100% hackproof or idiotproof either.
