I dropped my ballot at Mellow today - a plant store/coffee shop/barber shop/beats the heck out of me - a few feet from where I live in the haight.
Living in San Francisco for so long, i didn’t know that it’s odd to vote in strangers’ garages. We like to do things differently, including when it comes to polling places.
Hair salons, theaters and even a columbarium memorializing the dead? Indeed.

I just watched "What happened in the Haight House?" on Investigation Discovery. The abusive husband, Michael Haight murdered his 5 children, his estranged wife, her mother, then killed himself. At the time, Utah didn't have the lethality assessment for domestic violence. I will find out if MT does.
