We had one trick-or-treater last year. (We live in a rural area so it was a surprise to even get one. I had to give the kid cash. Three dollars!) This year, we have 50 treats waiting for that one kid. #HalloweenMath

#mathsky, there's also a LaTeX package (called "realhats") that allows us to put some hats on math symbols (there are non-Halloween hats as well)
A proof-tree in Gentzen sequent style of ⊢ ¬(A ∨ B) —> (¬A ∧ ¬B) followingthe usual deduction rules, but the symbols were changed to match a Halloween theme using the symbols provided by LaTeX packages "halloweenmath" and "realhats". The symbols ¬ (negation), ∨ (disjunction), ∧ (conjunction), and ⊢ (turnstile) were replaced by ⁘ (four dots), ⛤ (pentagram), ⛧ (upside-down pentagram), and a witch's broom where the vertical line of the turnstile was replaced by three lines pointing leftward, respectively. The letters A and B have witch hats on them at their top. The symbol —> (implication) was replaced by a witch flying on a broom horizontally, from left to right.

I am really excited to give a talk today at a local seminar on models of multilevel selection.

Although I did not pick the date to present, it is a fun coincidence that I will get to talk about a behavior I call the shadow/ghost(👻) of lower-level selection in the same week as Halloween.
