Cloudlog Aurora is progressing well, with enhanced Hamlib support, WSJT-X features, and numerous bug fixes and interface improvements.
Also been working on making hamlib functions available via websockets so the web browser can talk directly to Aurora, as we do for CW (Winkey).

Red letter day! I have Gpredict/ hamlib controlling the doppler on my FT-817ND . I don't know if it's hamlib V4.6.2 that did it or if I hit the CMD Line extra hard or my syntax got sick of being scrutinised, but it works after goodness knows how long. I don't want to turn if off now.

After many failures I had hamlib working on the ft817nd in windows once. Did a jig. Then never happened again.

Les radioamateurs adeptes du trafic par satellite connaissent tous Gpredict, l'application de poursuite et de prédiction de passages développée par Alexandru Csete (OZ9AEC). Devenu une référence sur le bureau Linux depuis plus de quinze ans, ce logiciel libre s'appuie sur les algorithmes de propagation SGP4/SDP4 et les éléments orbitaux NORAD (TLE) pour suivre un nombre illimité de satellites et piloter récepteurs et rotors via Hamlib.

True, but I have two comm ports available for CAT through the Microham router software. Actually more if I include the virtual port sharing through Win4Yaesu suite. WSJT-X 3.2.0 seems to have some issues with hamlib and hangs up. Power off + reboot is the only way to clear it. Puzzling.

I switched to linux on my Ham laptop only to discover that hamlib does support the G90 properly because the G90 violates C-IV on some commands. I never had an issue with the windows version. So I hacked hamlib and removed the error conditions for when the G90 spits garbage. Seems to be working.

Check the URL path can't remember if it needs trailing slash or not. Also cloudlog aurora supports rig control using hamlib and it's way better.

The original job was validating my Linux tracking chain: Gpredict → rotctld → Hamlib INDI → OnStep.
New failsafe code now rejects stale or missing position data instead of allowing a bad command to reach the mount with proper OnStep/INDI integration finally. ⬇️
