Whatever you do, do it with FLrig!
I battled for years getting fldigi to work, always manage it, always an ordeal... then I used flrig with it... God, that made it stupidly easy.
Just perfect for stupid people like me.

I got it figured out. I had to install FLRig & sound volume manager. My Linux knowledge is slowly coming back.

In the end, the Xiegu X6200 worked with Fldigi using FlRig as the interface.
The only problem was that today nobody was on RTTY.

my FT991a is now on the Linux Mint machine as well as my Xiegu G90
both got separate FLRig profiles and WSJT-x profiles,
shocked at how easy it was :)
next up the additional software i want to
track/doppler correction for sat
SSTV
FLDigi for psk, wefax, olivia etc

Single USB cable from radio to Pi and the usual com port baud rate stuff in wsjt-x.
FLrig also works no issue with FLdigi.

the fun one to find was to get CAT control working via the FTDI serial USB had to be in the "dialout" group

I've been successful with FSK, recognized on the RBN so the text is clear, but fldigi keeps locking up and freezing the macros on tx in FSK mode using flrig as the keyer.
