Haparanda is a rather magnificent station! The good thing about not arriving on train is I can come back one day! Maybe when through running to Finland starts!

The VR IC Oulu-Kemi-Tornio-Haparanda runs twice daily from now on. Norrtåg runs from Haparanda to Boden and Luleå. Sparing people a walk/bus/taxi.

And the trains from Haparanda to Kemi run at least for now only so early in the morning that you don’t catch it from a Stockholm connection, and not late enough to catch a connection to Rovaniemi.
So, no train ride home for me until this more frequent connections from Haparanda are available
