Tubac HawkWatch in Arizona had an impressive day on March 15!

Highlights included an incredible 97 Common Black Hawks, a signature species of the Southwest, and always a thrill to see in numbers.

We had perfect weather (although we're all still adjusting to the 20+ degree drop in temperature this week).

Bit of birding yesterday @PointPeleeNP with friend from the lab. It was significantly quieter than the previous weekend (very different weather) but it was a lovely walk anyways! A noticeable change in the number of hawks overhead! #hawkmigration #fallmigration #birding
