Israeli defence minister says he ordered attacks on Iran to ‘undermine regime’ | Israel
Israel Minister of Defense said that he ordered increased state goals in Iran to "undermine the regime", while the Iranian rocket escaped the Israeli air defense to hit the hospital in the south of the country in the south of the country. Other rockets landed around Tel Aviv, they injure at least 40 people, because the Israeli planes bombed the heavywater reactor and returned to strike nuclear complex Natanz.

3I/ATLAS: The 11-Billion-Year-Old Interstellar Comet Rewriting the Origins of Life
🚀 What if the secret to our existence was written in ice 11 billion years ago? Before our Sun was even a glimmer in a gas cloud, an ancient traveler was born in the absolute zero of the deep galactic void. Meet 3I/ATLAS (also known as C/2025 N1), the interstellar visitor currently screaming through our solar system and flipping everything we thought we knew about space chemistry upside down. In this episode, we dive into the mind-blowing data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) and the Subaru Telescope to uncover why this visitor is unlike anything we've ever seen. We’re talking extreme methanol enrichment and levels of heavy water (deuterated water) that suggest the building blocks for life aren't just local—they are universally weird. Why should you care? Because 3I/ATLAS is twice as old as the Sun. It is a galactic time capsule that formed at a bone-chilling 30 Kelvin, proving that the prebiotic chemistry required for life can survive across the eons and between the stars. Is our solar system a rare fluke, or is the galaxy literally crawling with the same ingredients? We tackle the controversial theories on planetary formation and why this interstellar comet might be the most important discovery of the decade. 🎧 In this episode, we explore: - 🧊 The Cold Origin Mystery: Why a birth at -405°F changes everything. - 🧪 Chemical Anomalies: The high-octane methanol and heavy water signature. - 🌌 The 11-Billion-Year Timeline: A journey from the Milky Way’s youth to our doorstep. - 🔭 Solar System vs. The Void: Comparing 3I/ATLAS to 'Oumuamua and 2I/Borisov. Stop wondering if we're alone and start wondering where we came from. Hit that play button to join the hunt for our interstellar roots! ✨ Love the cosmic deep dives? HeavyWater and SimplexWater: Watermarking Low-Entropy Text Distributions
Large language model (LLM) watermarks enable authentication of text provenance, curb misuse of machine-generated text, and promote trust in AI systems. Current watermarks operate by changing the next-token predictions output by an LLM. The updated (i.e., watermarked) predictions depend on random side information produced, for example, by hashing previously generated tokens. LLM watermarking is particularly challenging in low-entropy generation tasks - such as coding - where next-token predictions are near-deterministic. In this paper, we propose an optimization framework for watermark design. Our goal is to understand how to most effectively use random side information in order to maximize the likelihood of watermark detection and minimize the distortion of generated text. Our analysis informs the design of two new watermarks: HeavyWater and SimplexWater. Both watermarks are tunable, gracefully trading-off between detection accuracy and text distortion. They can also be applied to any LLM and are agnostic to side information generation. We examine the performance of HeavyWater and SimplexWater through several benchmarks, demonstrating that they can achieve high watermark detection accuracy with minimal compromise of text generation quality, particularly in the low-entropy regime. Our theoretical analysis also reveals surprising new connections between LLM watermarking and coding theory. The code implementation can be found in https://github.com/DorTsur/HeavyWater_SimplexWater

3I/ATLAS Comet Shows Unprecedented Heavy Water, Offering Clues About Cold Alien Worlds
Astronomers have discovered that the interstellar comet 3I/ATLAS, only the third confirmed object from outside our solar system, contains an unusually high concentration of heavy water, or deuterium-rich water. This form of water is far more abundant in 3I/ATLAS than in any comet or planetary body in our solar system, with a deuterium ratio about 30 times higher than comets from our solar system and roughly 40 times higher than Earth's oceans. These findings, led by researchers at the University of Michigan and published in Nature Astronomy, suggest that 3I/ATLAS formed in an extremely cold and low-radiation environment, unlike the conditions that shaped our solar system. By studying the comet's water composition using telescopes like the MDM Observatory in Arizona and the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) in Chile, scientists were able to perform the first detailed chemical analysis of an interstellar object. The research highlights the diversity of planetary formation processes across the galaxy and indicates that more interstellar objects could soon be chemically analyzed, deepening our understanding of how planetary systems form in different regions of space. The study underscores the importance of preserving dark night skies for detecting faint celestial visitors like 3I/ATLAS.
