#HellScent
Thread full of the research. And there is LOADS more. Hence me wanting to run a #ScentFreeSpaces campaign - esp in community spaces and medical centres bsky.app/profile/barr... And a ban on dryer sheets/scented laundry products would make the world more accessible to SO MANY people
Wow! I've been gathering it too, if mainly in my head. It makes such scary reading: literally killing children & yet people buy it to 'freshen' their homes. (I submitted the word 'air-poisoners' to the BorgDiem dictionary) I'd LOVE to see the research you've gathered: would you be up for sharing it?

Update, the next day:
Everything has already dried out & the hellscent is gone. There's a little musk by the laundry, but the epicenter of odor now has only a slight "old basement smell" yet lingering. That suggests whatever allowed water intrusion is minor & there shouldn't be much/any mold. 🥳

Much as I don't want to, that means shaving the beard. I'm not opening that up without a properly fitting respirator and the proper filters/cartridges. Probably should check if some disposable suit is advised for potential mold or... whatever is going on to create that hellscent.
