#HeyIowa Our universities here in Iowa are being hurt by Trump’s cuts. It’s not just Harvard or Columbia. One more thing to call Grassley, Ernst and your representative about.
The University of Iowa is in Johnson County and I've been in informal conversations with several faculty there. The point I try to make is, yes, there will be consequences for speaking out, but there are consequences for remaining silent.
Red-state public universities are just as worried about their blue-state peers about cuts to federal research funds. But they can't say anything publicly for political reasons. www.chronicle.com/article/faci...
