As a Canadian, it is difficult not to feel like #Poland pre-WW2.

There is a distinct risk of Trump & Putin dividing the Canadian #HighArctic between themselves to facilitate oil & gas drilling, resource extraction, and control of the Northwest Passage.

A polar bear literally walking on thin ice lifts its head to investigate a UFO in its territory. The attention is brief. Finding nothing worthy of further notice, the bear continued on its way to a whale carcass suspended in the ice floes in the middle of the Arctic Ocean.

There's no coast guard bases or deep-water cleanup resources near east Greenland. Emergency response vessels would take weeks to arrive.
