there's no way to talk Chevalier's issues without it being an indictment of Espaillat that he lost to her. Why hasn't his stature benefitted renters in his district? Why didn't he connect her Putin sympathies to the rise of the global right? What made him decide to close on Hispanola beefs?
I'm feeling uncharacteristically nice, so what i would say here is that moderates need to do a better job of selecting candidates. Two of the candidates who lost in NY ran in opposition to portions of their base and the other just lost on his substantive issue positions.
We are witnessing MAGA equivalent of destruction of Democratic Party through election of progressive Socialists.
If you think this ends well for country, I believe you're sadly mistaken. Extremism on one side simply fuels opposite growth on other side.

i had a depressing psu farmer's market visit a couple weeks ago. the stand i was specifically went for (la hispanola) was taking the week off and the only produce place that had what i wanted had ai garbage signage so i left wmpty hamded. thankfully last week i got everything i needed
