I still have to get my car inspected (estimating $200, probably less, but I can’t know until it happens) before my luck runs out and I get a ticket, thank God I was mistaken about my license being suspended. Each time ai raise money toward it a more pressing need comes along. Inshallah things will be a bit easier once it’s safe to drive, and I can start finding a way out of this disastrous situation. I’m also desperate to get some cannabis as it’s been about 2 weeks of nausea, vomiting, and vertigo 24/7 - a problem dating back to March. Not eating, and not being able to take my Aderall isn’t helping anything. I still have 2 weeks til I see a GI doc. Of course, paying for the room has to be my priority, but I can’t go on like this unable to eat amd retchimg at the thought of food. Well, it's that time again. I need $410 for another week here at the motel starting Monday - there is no place less expensive. My case manager is helping me with applying for senior housing - I can not believe it's come to that, l've aged 30 years in the past 8. I'd be very grateful for any help toward ensuring another week of safety. It pains me to ask, especially when there is so much suffering everywhere but I don't know what else I can do. Even if I could stay in a shelter there is no space anywhere. My check is gone to car insurance, this past week at the motel, phone... $1150 does not go far no matter how careful I am. I have to check out Saturday (there's a local ordinance that limits stays to 28 days) but I can come back after a day. I found a great deal for two nights at a decent hotel nearby - $140 which took nearly all of the last of my money. *this is updated I am once again forced to plead for help, my goal is $300. I’ve been procrastinating this, because begging is so not fun, in fact it’s soul destroying. So here’s where things are at; I have $65 in the bank and my phone bill will be deducted in a few days. - the rest of my check went to gas, cat food, instacart tips and fees, non-EBT needs, and cannabis (most definitely not for fun, it’s medically necessary for me at least until I see the specialist in July), and I’ll need more soon. I’m meeting with my new case manager, here at the motel, tomorrow. Unless I raise money I’ll need to cancel my car appointment for Thursday afternoon. Inspections cost $27-100, I’m sure my car is at the low end but there could be an issue of some kind. There shouldn’t be anything major though a tire is a slight possibility. Friday, if I don’t get arrested driving to and from the mechanic on Thursday, I have to go to the DMV to settle my license. I believe it will cost $100 but it’s uncertain, it might even be nothing if I haven’t been ticketed or anything. I did drive 2 miles a few days ago to the dispensary because they can’t deliver to motels and I was desperate to stop vomiting, my heart was in my mouth the whole time. My case manager got me a ride to DSS and she’s meeting me there, we’re hoping DSS will pay for the room until I get situated somewhere, but there is no guarantee. If not, IDK what will happen. So, I need to raise 200 for car stuff, $70 for Baby to stay with me ($10/night), and a little bit for things like Instacart, cannabis… I’m more than happy to post receipts. I realize it’s a lot to ask when people have already helped so much, but here we are. I am painfully aware that there is so much desperate need, but it doesn’t change the fact that I need my car and a place to sleep. Praise Allah, I have the room secured for another week. I am so grateful for your kindness& generosity. I just need to take care of of my car before I get a ticket I can't pay. a I am too disabled with arthritis to sleep in my car. The stress is killing me. Even if I could stay in a shelter (I can't) there are no beds anywhere - in summer! DSS is stretched to the limit puuting the most vulnerable people in motels. I'm going to try again next week, but meanwhile I need a safe place to sleep. I am at $90/200 (my reading glasses broke, and had to do laundry, so had to spend a little) for this. It may cost less, but I can't know until the inspection.
