if you want artists to make weirder art, you have to create stable living conditions that allow them to. homogeneity isn't a matter of artists lacking culture-- there are many soulful artists out there-- it's a matter of unregulated corporate dominance combined with artists who cant afford to create

Much like a lot of these guys embrace patriarchy because they think it will assign them a girlfriend, it seems like they think racial homogeneity will assign them friends
A white nationalist encounters "his people," and learns that he hates everything about "white America," including (surprise surprise) that none of the conservative women want to fuck him. He concludes "real America" sucks and is freeloading. I am sure this guy came off tremendously normal.

To be clear: deportations to increase cultural homogeneity is the text book definition of ethnic cleansing. Demands that come even close to this are so far outside any democratic norm and the rule of law. What has happened to a country when this is not condemned in the strongest possible terms?

Watching Mamdani's victory speech, I'm struck by his—and his campaign's—unabashed vision of the US as an immigrant society, a culture built from the ground up from diversity. It is a complete rejection and reversal of the search for a white-washed homogeneity that the political right projects.
