#Hopefulness
I didn’t realize just how hopeless I’ve been feeling until I felt the hopefulness of tonight.

My cautiously optimistic era is OVER

My brazen hopefulness era starts NOW

I want to be optimistic, but am scarred from previous election hopefulness.

Thank you, Marcie @mlipsitt.bsky.social for always including me in your fantastic packs!🫂

I'm nervous too, but I'm sitting in hopefulness as the results come in.

This whole article was a joy to read. You perfectly capture both the hopefulness we feel and the ridiculous overreaction of the reichwing to everything we try to do that's at all hopeful, helpful, kind, or accepting.

"win or lose, Talarico has already demonstrated that even in deep-red Texas, people want something higher, something better. We all do. Democrats: Don’t hold back. Speak to this still-flickering sense of hopefulness forthrightly and unflinchingly."

@gregsargent.bsky.social was on it ↘️
The idea that Dems won by throwing immigrants or trans people under the bus is preposterous. Abdul, Forstag, Hamilton all didn't and won. Talarico sorta did with trans people, but also didn't, and he aggressively defended immigrants. Turek did move right - and underperformed!
In Texas, Something Seismic Is Happening—and It’s All Trump’s Fault
Thanks to the economy and ICE, Trump has lost Texas Latinos. And James Talarico is developing a humane pro-immigrant message that’s resonating—even in this ultra-Trumpy state.

Jeffries' devasted tone in remarks today clashes with the hopefulness he displayed after the '24 election.

Watching “all the president‘s men” tonight, in hopefulness

There's more relief now, but less hopefulness than in 2008.

Woke late, still dark with overcast, mist, dense fog.
Tiller ready however! Quick out back for kibble!
Two cups of Joe, down the lane,
I carried hopefulness in my pocket this day!
Being the ever present pessimist, hard.
But Tiller makes me smile!!
Day begins at the Red Door!

Seeing anecdotal stories of huge voting lines all over the place and thinking of my friend in 2016 who didn’t plan to vote, drove past their polling place on Election Day and saw it nearly deserted, panicked and went in and voted, and trying to tamp down any early hopefulness

waiting for the switch to flip that takes me out of hopefulness mode
